Whenever we have a problem, we make a PLAN that includes what steps we can follow to solve the problem and what resources we can use to help us along the way. Next we DO our plan. If things don't work out, we can always go back and change our plan. (*Sometimes it takes trying a number of plans in order to find the just-right solution.) Finally, we REVIEW at the end of our work to make sure we did everything we were supposed to do in order to solve the problem.
Pretty super, right?
1st Graders are calling on the help of Super3 in order to determine the meaning of new words (see image).
2nd Graders spent this week using Super3 to determine the weather for the following day, exploring a number of different plans which included checking the forecast on a variety of devices, observing out the library windows, and calling on the memory of their classmates. We followed up our activity with a discussion about the reliability and accuracy of different sources.
